Holy Cross Problems

By: Ian Korapatti

The problem that I am going to choose is a problem that no one thinks is a problem, hay. I am allergic to hay and they keep putting hay down. They are lucky I don't need to go outside, because I like to stay inside. When people see I'm allergic to hey people always say, "Oh yea I get hay fever all the time." That's not what happens, I can die if I get to close. Another thing people say is, "It's not like your going to consume it right?" That literally makes no sense, it's the chemicals in the air that I'm allergic to.

The reason people put hay down is for food for horses and other farm animals and for growing grass. The thing is, hay doesn't help the grass grow, it just holds the seed in, can you really not substitute something in for hay? My solution to this problem is to substitute something for hay, or just pay the extra buck to get sod. This is my solution to my deadly allergy.

Is there no way we can substitute something for hay?
